
If you strip your panels on your vehicle, especially when you're down to the aluminium, you must 'etch prime' the bare metal before applying any undercoats. Don't cut corners at this stage by applying any type of primer other than 'etch primer' - It'll cost you 'big time' in the future, trust me!
So the process is:

The Roller method is fast & simple and can give a very good finish when applied correctly.
The Brush finish is as good as the person who is doing the job (Buy a good brush!).

- then top coat.
